From Goodreads:

First in a new series about some hard-riding rodeo cowboys...and the women who can rein them in.

Sports therapist Lainie Capshaw has been rehabilitating injured cowboys long enough to know that a charming western drawl combined with a fine physical form doesn't mean you fall for the man.

So no one is more surprised than Lainie when she finds herself involved with not one, but two different men: Hank Lawson, a bullfighter, and Kyle Gilchrist, a bull rider. Lainie feels guilty about her two-timing, but it doesn't keep her from doubling her fun-that is until Hank catches her with Kyle.

She's shocked that Hank isn't mad. But she's more shocked to learn Hank and Kyle are hometown buddies. But when the men offer to share her-in every way-she knows that she's going to have to choose the one man who can give her the ride of her life...

Benson Fisher thought that a scholarship to Maxfield Academy would be the ticket out of his dead-end life.
He was wrong.
Now he’s trapped in a school that’s surrounded by a razor-wire fence. A school where video cameras monitor his every move. Where there are no adults. Where the kids have split into groups in order to survive.
Where breaking the rules equals death.
But when Benson stumbles upon the school’s real secret, he realizes that playing by the rules could spell a fate worse than death, and that escape—his only real hope for survival—may be impossible.

“In honor of Banned Books Week, what is your favorite “banned or frequently challenged book”?”
Click
here for 2010-11 list in PDF format. You can also click HERE to view past years and choose from any of those titles!

My Answer:

From all that great books, I've only read it the first two from the hunger games series, so that's my obvious pick. First one didn't give me all what I expected. It was fast paced and very good writed but Ididn't connected with the book as much as others bloggers said they did. I sincerely loved the second one and if possible fall even deeper for Peeta.

I've been postponning my reviews, from but books, so I'll make a promise that when I finishe the third I'll make a special week about it, just like Vampire Academy series.

I want to see the heist society in a movie, cause it sounds totally like ocean's eleven, and that one was absolute fun.
For the par of Hale I want the Chuck Bass, from Gossip Girl cause he has classy and style.

Moscow can be a cold, hard place in winter. But the big old house on Tverskoy Boulevard had always seemed immune to these particular facts, the way that it had seemed immune to many things throughout the years.
The series of the week is Heist Society, but so far on two books released and I'm already on the second.

The lines are from book two on this series, called Uncommom Criminals by Ally Carter

Booking Through Thursday #5

Booking Through Thursday is a weekly meme about (mostly) books and reading, hosted in Booking Through Thursday.

The Question:

1. What do you think of reading aloud/being read to? Does it bring back memories of your childhood? Your children’s childhood?
2. Does this affect the way you feel about audio books?
3. Do you now have times when you read aloud or are read to?

The answer:

I love to read the book myself, when I was young my sister used to read for me, but now I don't like being read to, it feels to me strange, and it get distractive.
I don't really like the audiobooks for the same reason, but I like to feel the real book, even if is in a ereader, it's like the same size, so it makes more real, than listen to just a voice.
I love to read aloud some caracthers in a book, but just for myself, maybe even when I write the reviews, you can hear me talking while thinking for the best way to explain something.

See ya next post!

Here's my answers:

Dear Lora Leigh,
I think I've read almost all of your books and can't help but ask, can you please make your caracthers real man, cause I can't find ones like those for myself. You can make it a sexy breed, or even the august brothers. I would love to have them all for me alone. Cause if you can make them real I do not share.

Why I Started This Book:

First of all, I loved this cover, the eye with the thin pupil drove me in like nothing else. Second in all the blogosphere I read great things about it, and according to the summary it was the kind of book that drives me crazy, so went to my reading list very fast, and I read it in one single day, wow.

Summary:

A hidden truth.
Mortal enemies.
Doomed love.

Marked as special at an early age, Jacinda knows her every move is watched. But she longs for freedom to make her own choices. When she breaks the most sacred tenet among her kind, she nearly pays with her life. Until a beautiful stranger saves her. A stranger who was sent to hunt those like her. For Jacinda is a draki—a descendant of dragons whose greatest defense is her secret ability to shift into human form.

Forced to flee into the mortal world with her family, Jacinda struggles to adapt to her new surroundings. The only bright light is Will. Gorgeous, elusive Will who stirs her inner draki to life. Although she is irresistibly drawn to him, Jacinda knows Will's dark secret: He and his family are hunters. She should avoid him at all costs. But her inner draki is slowly slipping away—if it dies she will be left as a human forever. She'll do anything to prevent that. Even if it means getting closer to her most dangerous enemy.
Mythical powers and breathtaking romance ignite in this story of a girl who defies all expectations and whose love crosses an ancient divide.

Caracters:

My Thoughts:

Jacind Jones is very special! Her whole life has been played and selected by the elders of her village, because of what she is. Jacinda is a fire breather draki, she is powerful and dangerous, and like any other teenage she break rules.

In the begging of the book we discover that Jacinda likes to break some sacred rules, putting in danger all her village. She is off playing with Azure, her best friend, flying around unawere of the danger lying around. Hunters find the two playing and start to attack them. To protect her friend Jacinda becomes their only target, and in a very special part she meets Will, a good hunter. And he let her free.

The elders find out what happened and decide to do avery bad thing with Jacinda, that's when her mother decides to leave. They run away, and since Jacinda is the only Draki among them, her mother choose a very hard place for Jacinda to live on, hoping that her draki will die.

Jacinda fights every day againts losing her part draki, and when she goes to school and discover that Will lives on that city and is the ony one capable of keeping her draki alive, she does everything to be with him.

But Cassian finds her and wants her back on the village, I truly belived in Cassian, let's see if in the next book he'll show he's true face.

Release date: August 24th 2010
Hunger Games #3

From Goodreads:
Young Katniss Everdeen has survived the dreaded Hunger Games not once, but twice, but even now she can find no relief. In fact, the dangers seem to be escalating: President Snow has declared an all-out war on Katniss, her family, her friends, and all the oppressed people of District 12. The thrill-packed final installment of Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games trilogy will keep young hearts pounding.
I liked the other two books, and this one is waiting on my bookshelf for over a month and I didn't even thnk about reading it, maybe I'm afraid this is it, the big end. And I want Peeta alive, but fear it might not hapen.

Maybe this October I'll find some time for him.

Why I Started This Book:

I was searching to buy Firelight on the internet when discover that Sophie has a great number of books published in historical romance area and couldn't let it pass a oportunity to by the two of them. I've read him really fast. Both in one weekend and this week reviews are both for Sophie Jordan books.

Summary:

An Innocent Deception . . .
Lady Meredith Brookshire has every right to Oak Run. Now that she's suddenly husbandless and penniless, where else would she, her addled father, and spinster aunt reside? Yet who should appear but Nicholas Caulfield, the new Brookshire heir, claiming the estate is rightfully his by law. The brute is as arrogant as he is handsome-besides, he's supposed to be dead. And the only plan resourceful Meredith can devise to save her family from homelessness is a desperate scheme that may lead her to salvation or ruin . . . and the bed of the man she has vowed to hate.
A reluctant aristocrat, Nick does not trust this fiery, infuriating chit whom he suspects of subterfuge-yet who bewitches him with her innocent green eyes. The sooner he can get this tempting beauty married off to some stodgy old blueblood-and off his hands for good-the better. There is one slight problem, however:
Nick can't bear the thought of her wedding any man but him.

Caracters:

  • Lady Meredith Brookshire
  • Nicholas Caulfield

My Thoughts:

The book begins with Lady Meredith Brookshire discovering that her recently dead husband has left her with nothing and his half-brother is suppose to be the new Earl of Brookshire. Since she doesn't have a heir, everything that has been her home belongs to someone else.

Her husband has never been a true gentleman and she fears that his brother will kick her and her family on the street, so the only way she can stay there is if she has a son, the new Earl. The problem is her husband has never been to her bed chambers.

Meredith start a plot by pretending to be pregnant, and when the time comes she'll adopt a orphan baby, because is the only way she can save her family from living on the street, since she belives Nicholas Caulfield is exactly like his brother.

Nicholas on the other end has suffered his hole life, and doesn't want a title sice his father has put his mother and him f his house. He doesn't have good memories and cant stand the thought to became something like that. He is sucessfull and very rich and by hinself with legal games and has a famous "cassino" in Town.

When he discovers that Meredith is pregnant and start to have fellings for her, he decides to go back to his old life, since she doesn't belong to him.

They start to fight this strange fellings that bouth have but never as faced before, and a cat and mouse game is fun to read, and enjoable.

I simple loved this book and her writing makes me cheer for Nicholas from begging until the very end.

You Might Enjoy This Book If:

You like a romance in historical genre, with a guy who suffer in the past and need to discover a way to deal with it in the present. A very strong girl who fights for everything she things deserve.

The point of this meme is to admire the art and beauty of a book’s design, so I’m going to post minimal words. It is up to you to write how you feel and what you like about it the way you’d like.

What I Love:

  • the flowers showing on the corners and heading for the girl.
  • the beautiful dress!
  • all the questions that come with this cover, like where she is running to, what's shes doing in that garden.
