Book Blurb:

Meghan Chase used to be an ordinary girl...until she discovered that she is really a faery princess. After escaping from the clutches of the deadly Iron fey, Meghan must follow through on her promise to return to the equally dangerous Winter Court with her forbidden love, Prince Ash. But first, Meghan has one request: that they visit Puck--Meghan's best friend and servant of her father, King Oberon--who was gravely injured defending Meghan from the Iron Fey.
Yet Meghan and Ash's detour does not go unnoticed. They have caught the attention of an ancient, powerful hunter--a foe that even Ash may not be able to defeat....

My Thoughts:

This was a fun and short story. After I finished The Iron King and fell in love with some characters, Winter’s Passage seamed like a good little book. I was definely right. There’s more from the forbidden love between Ash and Meghan, plus a bit of action during an escape from The Hunter.
I was hoping for more from Puck, but it seams I’ll have to wait for the next book, plus Grim is back and I just love that kitten, he’s surely like the rabbit from Alice. Smart and with lots of knowledge but we can never know if he’s enemy and an alley.
The hunt was pretty fascinating and we got to see more from this strange world called nevernever, plus a few characters and their stories. A novella that takes us back to the faery land.

Excerpts:

In the shadows of the cave, I watched the Hunter approach. Silhouetted black against the snow, it stalked closer, eyes a yellow flame in the shadows, breath coiling around it like wraiths. Ice-blue light glinted off wet teeth and a thick shaggy pelt, darker than midnight. Ash stood between the Hunter and me, sword unsheathed, his eyes never leaving the massive creature that had tracked us for days, and now, had finally caught up.

“Meghan Chase.” Its voice was a growl, deeper than thunder, more primitive than the wildest forests. The ancient golden eyes were fixed solely on me. “I’ve finally found you.”
