Judd is the perfect Psy and after reading about his job and the way Silence helped him keep conscious and save, this book brought a different side of this world, because to me this couple was darker than the first to, they suffered more and needed a change in life to find happiness.

We can see that Brenna is still struggling to find a normal life after the way Enrique almost killed. Things are not so easy and Judd helped a lot, but he's still a Psy and it was difficult for Brenna to understand her new attraction to him and her fear for his powers. 

I liked the way this couple found their way together, specially Judd, because we can see he was in a lot of pain during his final moments in the Silence world. This series is showing a growing war and Judd found his side but also chose to help save the other Psy from further damage, I loved seeing this protective side of him.
