Book Blurb:

A new chapter in the New York Times bestselling Morganville Vampires saga.

Vampire musician Michael Glass has attracted the attention of a big- time producer who wants to cut a demo and play some gigs-which means Michael will have to enter the human world. For this, he's been assigned escorts that include both a dangerous immortal as well as Michael's all-too-human friends. And with that mix of personalities, this is going to be a road trip from hell...

My Thoughts:

This is the eight book for the Morganville Vampire series and it was a bit different from what I expected. On the Fade Out, Michael was invited to tape a demo in Dallas, but since nobody can live Morganville it was actually a surprise when Claire and her friends were allowed to leave on a road trip, but there’s a catch as always, they would need a vampire escort that it turned out to be Oliver.

So I was expecting trouble, but only in Dallas, where they could be discovered or something like that, but in truth it was completely different than that. Oliver stopped on a small town and disappeared for awhile and they got in trouble over ice creams and ended up escort by the police officer out of town, but that’s not all.

Remember Morley, he’s gang is back and they discovered a way to leave Morganville, not very difficult since Ava is gone. And in the middle of everything else, Claire, Eve and Shane were kidnapped by Morley. You think that’s the end? Think again.

They ended up in another small town, but this one is even worst because there are also sick vampires living in there, so Michael and Oliver had to save everyone including Morley’s vampires.

The book was full of action, but I kinda missed Amelie and Myrnin, we only got a few sentences from both. I liked the action outside of Morganville, but I prefer inside town, but this one was a good and different book for the series.
